Congratulations! You’ve put in the work and you’re finally nearing the light at the end of the tunnel. With graduation upon you and the boards on the horizon, ApexNetwork wants to help you succeed. Whether you’ve already hit the books or you haven’t yet started, don’t worry! Our team has compiled a list of our most recommended tips and strategies for successful studying for the National Physical Therapy Exam.
1. First things first: decide on a study plan. This may be reflective of how you studied throughout your program, or maybe you change things up. How much time per day/per week/per month do you want to devote to studying?
2. Create a study schedule – stick to it and avoid burnout (quality over quantity!)
3. Take a practice exam and/or prep course
4. Find where you study best! This may be at home, the library, a coffee shop, a park, etc
5. Application vs. Memorization: consider a balance between textbook studying and hands-on learning. Look into opportunities with a company who can support part-time hours as a way to help you prepare for the exam through observation, mentorship, and supervised treatment. 6. Control the controllables: prioritize your time and energy by identifying and focusing on tasks you have influence over.
7. Positive Thinking! This type of mindset can aid in stress management, give you more control over your emotions, and plays an important role in your overall health and well-being
Remember….everyone is different! Find how YOU study best and believe in yourself.
